As the baby grows older it looks out for new things to keep busy and occupied and it is at this time that the baby walker comes in very handy.  A baby walker is a simple small device with a framework of metal or plastic sitting on top of a platform. It has wheels below and a cushioned hanging seat with two holes for the legs to fit in.  The wheels help the child to move around when pushed with his legs.  That is one of the reasons why people have a notion that the walker will aid the child in acquiring walking skills quickly.  There is however different arguments related to this issue.
The baby walker is termed as the mobile activity center for the infant which keeps him occupied for endless hours when the parents are busy with some other job.  But one has to take care that they have an eye on them lest they should meet with an injury.  They should make it a point that they never leave the child unattended.
They should also take care that they allow the child to be in the walker only when the surface is smooth and even.  When caution is exercised, a  baby walker is a good proposition from the childs point of view as they can get something novel to explore through and keep themselves entertained.
